OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
Operations and Maintenance (O&M) programs are developed to: identify and remove existing asbestos hazards; provide periodic surveillance and daily management of non- friable materials; and monitor records of all activities related to asbestos materials within a building.
The O&M program ensures that the day-to-day management of the building is conducted in such a manner as to control the release of asbestos fibers. Renovation or demolition activities can be pre-planned, taking into account the presence of ACM to avoid fiber release episodes. Record keeping activities document compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations
